The naked beauty kneels on the forest floor to feed a fawn with flower petals. The animal, which appears almost fragile and therefore all the more in need of protection, has overcome its shyness in its slight retreat and feasts on the offerings. It shows the same gracefulness as the girlish young woman. Despite the distance between man and animal, they are kindred spirits, and the fawn seems to embody the innocent nature of the young woman. Because of the naturalness of the scenery, her nudity, which is accentuated by her painted face and the bisque porcelain, also appears natural, adding to her erotic aura.
