- Fate -
A woman and a man are depicted in front of a backdrop reminiscent of saints, with the man protectively embracing the woman, who - as an expression of the modern reality of life - is holding a cigarette in her hands. Both are looking into their common future as if with a vision, the couple's "cubist" physicality giving them a timeless statuary quality.
