- The Passing of Time -

A gaunt, haggard looking man holds a wall clock in his arms, the pendulum clearly swinging out, making the passing of time even more vivid. Head and clock interpenetrate. The man's consciousness is entirely determined by the passage of time, so that his gaze is directed into the distance toward his own death. A modern memento mori with which Filus reinvents a key theme in art.
